Case Study: Seton Hospital Project (Austin, Texas)

Concept Rendering

SpecLight® excels in developing custom lighting solutions utilizing highly efficient fluorescent sources. In this project SpecLight worked directly with the design Architect through the local sales agency. Concepts were discussed, luminaires designed and prototypes made. Our unique product development process allows us to quickly engineer, prototype and manufacture custom designed lighting solutions for the most challenging projects.

Architect's Concept Rendering. This computer generated rendering was prepared by the project Architect to develop the concept for the desired lighting effect. The luminaires were to be concealed behind the handrail assembly to illuminate the etched glass wall panels.

Project Installation

Actual Project Installation Photo. The Luminaires were installed behind hinged service doors below the handrails. Fluorescent light is projected up and down using specular reflectors designed specifically for this application.

Luminaire Design Drawing. Detailed luminaire design drawings are created for the Architect’s approval. Once approved detailed drawings are created for all parts, assembly drawings are made and bill of materials are developed. A prototype fixture is built and approved. The order is then ready for manufacturing.
